and some sound cards have direct inputs (ignore latency feature).īut for now if you are using a typical sound hardware and don't have buffer size option in audio interface settings in Reaper, you should download ASIO4ALL and change your audio device in Reaper to ASIO4ALL and control your buffer size from there (lower size = lower latency = higher CPU and memory usage). Professional sound cards have a latency or buffer size settings for their inputs.

Your CPU and RAM power is a part of your work, another part is ::: which sound card or interface you are using? I think it should be an output sound setting problem in guitar rig, if you are creating an stereo track in Reaper try to create a mono audio track there and your problem should be fixed.

Any help would be much appreciated.Īlso while I am at it, does anyone know how to solve the latency issue? Is it possible to reduce the latency so that it is barely noticeable? I have a fairly powerful machine, 8 Gig ram, I7 processor, but I am getting an annoying delay when I turn on monitoring mode?Īny suggestions on good methods to fix latency issues?Įdit 2: My temporary fix to the latency issue, is to load up guitar rig outside of reaper, and turn off recording mode in reaper. However, when I connect my guitar to the interface and open the Guitar Rig 5, I can't get any sound of any preset. I have tried looking through the audio options but nothing I have tried so far has fixed this. I installed its driver, latest asio4all and Guitar Rig 5. I have tried the other built in reaper sound effects and they all work fine. This only happens with the guitar rig integration. si pagas 10 con envo y embalaje desde el otro extremo del mundo, no esperes milagros. When I use guitar Rig on its own, I have no problem, it sounds great, however when I integrate guitar rig into reaper, and turn on record monitoring, I only hear the sound through the right headphone. IMPORTANTE: Ya lo comento pero recibo mensajes a patadas sobre esto. When I record a piece, and play it back, same problem, only comes through the one headphone However I am having an issue with sound only playing through the right on my headphones. I am going to post this in several spots (in this forum) where people are talking about RS cables not being recognized.I am looking to try and record some music using Guitar rig + reaper. Anyway having that extra boost of power couldn't hurt. Hey, it works with external hard drives and external DVD drives that need more power! Maybe it will work for this. A powered USB port hub is a USB hub that has a wall-wart (transformer) that plugs into the wall for extra power. Try plugging it into a powered USB port hub instead of plugging it directly into the computer.

I figure that the Rocksmith Real Tone cable needs extra juice (electric power) in order to be able to run properly. For problems getting the Rocksmith cable to be recognized on PC, and when the cable is only recognized intermittently, try this and tell me if it works. For best results, plug the Rocksmith cable directly into a powered USB port on your PC. If the cable is being recognized by Windows, then the game should be able to access it. Make sure that the Rocksmith cable is being listed in the “Recording” tab of the Sound control panel.

Make sure that the USB port that you’re plugging the cable into is providing enough power to the cable and configured for Full Speed (12Mbit/s) or faster. The best way to improve your latency is to add an audio card such as RME HDSP9632 which, on a fast m/c, can easily do.

This, on top of trying to use asio4all as a driver would give unusable results.

I plugged it in the front and back of my PC and it keeps saying Failed when it trys to install a driver for it. Re: High latency while trying to record with guitar rig. I thought I was stupid so I pulled up a tutorial but still to no avail.

I am no means stupid and I tried installing asio4all, looked at the pdf and tried to go through the steps, I stopped at open your program and configure your software, how in the world do you fix this on rocksmith? there is no sound options to change anything, it does not recognize it is even plugged in when I load the game up, I can do this on say FL or any other software that lets me change the sound settings, but rocksmith is different.
